Trew Knowledge is a fast-paced and rapidly growing digital marketing agency focused on delivering world-class, innovative solutions for some of the world’s largest Brands.  We specialize in WordPress, digital strategy, User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design.

Job Purpose

The Account Manager responsibilities include developing strong relationships with customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders and preparing sales reports. Account Managers also answer client queries and identify new business opportunities among existing customers. In this role, you will liaise with cross-functional internal teams and works in close partnership with the Director, Project Management Office, design and development teams, and other team members when defining scope, budgets, resources, timelines and deliverables for a wide range of client projects.

Key Accountabilities

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Prepare reports on account status
  • Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territory
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Work with the client, partners, and the PMO to set project goals, confirm and negotiate resource   assignment according to current business priorities
  • Play a leadership role when identifying/addressing root cause of operational issues, contribute to team development as it relates to project management capability

Knowledge and Skills

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or equivalent with minimum 3 years of account management experience in a Web/Agency services
  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
  • Solid experience with WordPress, Websites, Mobile Applications, CRM software, and MS Office
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of account management principles, practices and procedures, preferably with a Project Management (PMP) accreditation
  • Previous experience as a business analyst in a medium to large organization is beneficial
  • Highly developed influential skills enough to resolve differences of opinion or approach, negotiate deliverables and maintain project schedules 
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to achieve results through partnering and collaboration with other team members
  • Strong organization and time management skills to ensure projects are executed as per the plan and in a timely and efficient manner
  • Strong coaching skills to encourage, motivate and guide team members in learning effective project delivery methodology and techniques

Working Conditions

  • Due to COVID-19 the role currently operates remotely
  • Dynamic office environment.  On occasion, there may be a requirement to work beyond normal working hours in order to meet project deadlines
