Turkey Farmers of Canada is a nation wide organization that represents over 500 of Canada’s Turkey Farmers. Their responsibilities include encouragement of cooperation amongst Turkey Farmers, the promotion of turkey, as well as overseeing the supply management system for Turkey’s across Canada.
Turkey Farmers of Canada tasked Trew Knowledge with the need to Strategize, Design and Development a private web application portal which allowed Turkey Farmers, Farm Auditors, Board Members, and Researchers the ability to access and complete required compliance documentation, in addition to making the user experience as simple and user friendly as possible for users to access anywhere, on any device. The application also required restrictions for the public as well as on-application restrictions for specific user roles, such as farmers, auditors, researchers, and provincial board members whom all receive personalized experiences.
The strategic approach looked to expand and replace the older legacy system and provide the administrators and users a more modern experience when completing the required documents for their farming operations, in addition to being a resource hub they can rely on to improve communications.
The result was a fast and intuitive web based application which provided organized content to registered users, in addition to members now being able to fill out or download online forms, save them for later editing, print completed forms and receive an emailed copy of their completed forms to reference in the future. Along with the features, member registration was synced with TFC’s newsletter management system to provide automated newsletter communications.
